Posting Summary

Rutgers School of Dental Medicine ( RSDM ) is seeking a Dental Assistant to work in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. Reporting to the Program Clinical Coordinator, performs chair-side and desk-side duties within the Prosthodontics Post-graduate Program. Assists during examination and treatment of patients and performs clerical tasks for the program.

Among Other Key Duties Of This Position Include

  • Takes, develops and mounts x-rays; maintains x-ray solution and developer along with the maintenance of x-ray cleaning log.
  • Charts examination under the direction of the doctor.
  • Assists in implant procedures.
  • Maintains inventory of implant components.
  • Prepares clinical kits for students.
  • Serves as backup sterilization assistant, cleans ultrasonic units as needed.

Minimum Education and Experience


  • Must be certified as a Dental Assistant ( CDA ) through the Dental Assistant National Board ( DANB ).
  • Must possess valid radiological technology license issued by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
  • Must possess valid CPR certitifcation through the Americal Heart Association.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of dental experience.
