Job responsibilities: The dental assistant is responsible for preparing patients for exams and treatment by the dental team.
Essential functions:
- Assist dentist in performing services by preparing patients in chair and handling instruments, equipment, and dental plastics, assist with x-rays and provide post-operative and oral hygiene instructions as prescribed by dentist.
- Sterilize instruments and keep the office stocked with required supplies.
- Arrange and maintain appointment schedule.
- Keep records of patients, act as office receptionist.
- Provide positive, quality customer service to students, staff, and other center customers.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- HSD or equivalent
- Valid dental assistant certification
- Certified to take x-rays
- A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
